How To See Guitar Tabs

How to not play open string on guitar?
This may be the worst question to be ever asked, and i’m sorry.
But for example when i see a tab, it does not to play all strings,
like this for example:
–2–
–3–
–4–
–5–
–6–
——
Does it mean i can play the last e string as an open note?
Generally this means to not play the string at all. Sometimes it will have an -x- meaning the string is not played.

Particularly appealing… |
