38 Guitar

What kind of guitar should I get?
I am very interested in learning to play acoustic guitar, so I'm trying to shop around find a cheap. I found one that is 38 "but did not really know the size you need. What size is good for me? Do you find do with the height? If so, I'm 5'6 ". There are other details that I look for when buying my guitar?
Do not go by the size of a guitar. Go by feel, and if the guitar is comfortable to hold. I do not want a guitar with cheap land (many problems), but also do not want a guitar incredibly expensive (may not want to play the guitar after all, and that's a lot of money lost). So, go for the guitar between them. Guitars in 100 Sure Start brand. Want check by the tone (if the guitar stays in tune), sustainability (the time it notes ring out of business), action (the height of the chords of the frets), and the guitar itself. How to check the intonation: All this is done on the 12th fret-Maintain a string right behind the 12th fret and pick, then select the network again without holding down the string intonation is good if the sound of the open string is an octave higher than if the string is held down if not may know, ask a music shop Tickets How Sustainability-Pick a string and count how many seconds it takes for sound to disappear (I 'd say it's good 5 seconds), do the same routine for a lot of different notes and remembering that 5 is the number of gold-Sustainability is good if you play each note fades the same amount of time (5 seconds) Checking Action-Hold down the first string (closest to the ground), behind the 1st fret and pick-Pick random notes-Make sure there is no buzzing or muffled sound notes-if the strings are too hard to press down, the action is too high Checking the guitar itself is self-explanitory and is common sense. Check the guitar scratches or dents. Things like that. Note: I want to be able to prove the guitar in its fullness. If a store to not let you play music above a certain level, find another shop. The same goes for a music store if not let you test out guitars (which is a red flag).
