is there any software that supports the xbox 360 USB guitar controller?

i have heard about people using guitar hero II guitars (the white USB xplorer xbox 360 controller) to play live music…like they bind the buttons through some sort of software. any ideas. i have a few software bundles available thru music software savvy friends. any idea of what software to use or how ppl do it. thanks
