Four Course Guitar

What songs should I learn on guitar?

I need to figure out what songs I should learn. I’m really into metal, but there’s not a lot of it I can play, since I’ve only had about three guitar lessons. I like to play anywhere from hard rock to death metal, preferably clean lyrics, but I can’t find anything easy enough. I have had four years of piano experience, and I know plenty about music theory (I’ve written five songs, and my guitar teacher says with those songs I could get a recording contract. He would know, he’s gotten one. His band was called Crimson Vera.) Oh, and preferably not in any tuning lower than drop D (of course if it’s in a drop tuning, I can play it in D and it will be fine,) but nothing like B standard, that is, BEADF#C (I think.)

Metallica – Enter Sandman
AC/DC – Hells Bells

They have some fairly easy & repetitive parts that are good for practicing.
I can’t think of many many metal songs that you could play at this point, but, some other songs that are good for starting out are,
The Beatles – Day Tripper
Led Zeppelin – Over The Hills And Far Away (more difficult)
Nirvana – The Man Who Sold The World

Good Luck.
