Some basic Guitar QUes? Urgent Pls hELP!!!!!?

Ok Guys have some “stupid” guitar questions to ask ? What are keys ? I have heard of C major key , key of G Major etc but fail to understand what it is can u explain or direct me to a site ? And the ionian scale and major scale are the same right ???

I suggest you buy one of those ‘Complete Idiot’s Guide’ for learning guitar, they’ll teach you EVERYTHING you’ll need to know. It’d be really hard to write and play other songs if you can’t read music or understand what’s going on.
