whats one of the best Digital Camcorder w/hard drive or mem-card under 600$. Reviews, ratings? ?

I need a good digital camcorder that I can use on a mountain to record the city with the best zoom x. I need it to be versatile and be able to record family time and youtube videos of me teaching guitar lessons, or Ged. Have tried many websites already with reviews and ratings but many have too many cons.
Is there any good ones out there?
