How do I convince my parents to let me play guitar?

So I’m in grade 6. I love music. & I sing. So I wanted to play guitar but my parents but they keep telling me to focus on school. How do I convince them to let my play guitar? I’m very dedicated. Very. And cost and things aren’t a problem at all.

Make them a deal: Tell your parents that if you get good grades, they can let you take up guitar. If you start to fail, then they have the right to take the privilege away.
