Guitar Sounds Bad

Can running a small guitar cab with a powerful head cause breakup or bad sound?

My guitar setup is as follows an ltd Ec-400AT with and emg 81 in bridge a digitech metal master a mesa/boogie stiletto trident on a marshall AVT straight cab. my question is could the fact that the AVT cab is so small and the head is so powerful be causing bad sound at high volumes. if not what could be causing it.

This could be caused by Larsen’s effect (feedback) due to maybe the volume of the space you are working in, You may not hear it with your ears but it’s there, specially if your FX used are at max. Reduce volume control on the guitar, and try to record the result to analyze the sound. Sometimes a little adjustment is OK. It could also be a “ground” problem somewhere. Good Luck !
