How do I do this?!!!?

I just started guitar at Christmas, and I’m learning Hero by Enrique Iglesias. I know its repetitive, but I’m just learning and I like the song. My question is, when I get to the chords, I can play them, but when I have to go back to the first one, my fingers don’t want to, and I always miss it. How can I hit it? I’ve tried slowing it down, and I’ve been practicing it all day. Any advice, or is this a just keep practicing, you’ll get it thing?

play it again and again…eventually you will hit it in time with the song. It’s the best way to learn any song.
