A question for all pro guitar out there?

Hello everyone, I Allways been interested in things Stevie Ray Vaughan and Hendrix '. But I also discovered recently John Mayer. I really like his playing style is very blues but melodic. Anyway, I wondered what I recommended for learn their way of playing, i know that uses a lot of pentatonic major. Also, I'm all over the solo in this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThwApe2_R9o, beginning at 2:28 How so? He is to collect the notes with such accuracy, but it seems as if playing all the strings .. Is this what they call "seekers shuffle? Any advice on how to learn this would be great! Thanks everyone!

definitely playing all or at least more than one string at a time. However, sometimes covers up the big chains with the thumb and high in the lower half of your index fingers. about half the time actually playing two or three notes at once. thats the beauty of the pentatonic scales, the notes sound good together
