what were the first genres of music played on the first guitars?

im doing a speech on guitars and i just need help with the last thing. what was the first type of music played on the first guitars? like was it classical? then like folk country, and then like jazz next? like i need it in chronological order, can anyone help?

The guitar was invented in Spain in the mid 1600′s . So you can be sure they weren’t playing blues or metal back then. My guess is classical.
