But one thing i know for sure, and this is only in my own little world. There are no deals to be made with the Devil.
You only need to make one deal, and that is with yourself. If you really want to learn blues guitar you just have to decide that is what you want and go about doing just that. With that being said, there are many paths you can take.
There are personal lessons with a teacher.
There are online courses you can buy.
There are paid sites you can join and get new lessons every day, week, month etc.
These all include a wide range of products including books, dvds, online videos, and so forth.
Some of these options are more expensive than others and there are many more available than the few that i have mentioned above. But first things first. You need to access where you are on the learning curve. This should help you decide which path you need to take.
Some people are visual learners. They need to see things to figure them out. Others are more audio. They can hear something once and figure it out fairly quickly from there. Most people are a combination of more than one of these. This is the category i fall into. I need to see something and then actually go through the motions of doing it a few times before it really sinks in.

Its up to you to figure out which category you fall into. Once you figure out a few of these things about yourself you will have a much better idea of where to start. The path you need to take to learn blues guitar will become much clearer.
Learning the blues, or even listening to them seems to add something to your soul that never seemed to be there before. Or at least something you have never noticed before. Music seems to do this to all people across the globe, and i guess that is why it is called the universal language.
Learning your first lick or your first song will give you the incentive to carry on. A love of playing will also be a huge motivator. The bottom line is this. If you really want to learn blues guitar or anything else in life for that matter there is only one way to do it. Practice, Practice, Practice. You need to steep yourself in what it is you are trying to learn, and the blues is no different.
I am sure that all the great blues guitarist throughout time will tell you the same thing. They locked themselves in their rooms and got dedicated to their craft. That is how they became great, and as far as the Devil goes. Well he is nowhere in sight.
