How should i respond to people like this?

I’m a 15 year old male and im in gr.10; my first year in high school. I know alot of the people at my school and they make fun of me for being in singing and guitar lessons. I want to be nice and react nice but i’m not sure how to. People make stupid comments on the stuff i wear too, like the other day i was walking into class and one girl said “are those girl shoes your wearing? i have the same pair”. Obviously i’m not stupid either, i know whether im buying girl shoes or not, they’re black and white pumas. So i said “no im pretty sure i got them in the men’s section. maybe your wearing men shoes.” is this the right way to respond to people like that? How can i be nice to people like this?

Good response, Kiddo! People like that SUCK… and you know what? They suck as kids, and they’re gonna suck as adults… sucks for THEM, you know?

Living well will be your best revenge, so just keep doing the best you can and keep your chin up. HS doesn’t last forever — even though it can feel like it does.
