What is a good song for a beginner to play on guitar??? **URGENT**?

I have had 8 guitar lessons, and my class is being assessed tomorrow in the music lesson, which means i will have to perform something in front of the whole class. I need a good piece that i can learn tonight, i am a very fast learner though, and luckily for me music is my talent, please help if you can, its kinda urgent. By the way its 20:25 in england so i need help FAST

Guitar lessons software has some significant differences versus online guitar lessons. Retaking a lesson over, and over again, and referring back to the same lesson content at much later times, is essential to mastering the material.

Online guitar lessons also are often a smorgasbord of various ideas and concepts from various teachers. This provides no continuity of learning and leaves the guitar student with lots of neat ideas that are independent and various. This reflects in the students limited playing ability as it become obvious the student has no real understanding of the instrument other than in a fragmented way. This is important to your consistency of practice and learning and is necessary to ever to reach any higher level of guitar knowledge and playing skill.Online guitar lessons also do not have the technology of training and teaching tools that a high end guitar software program offers. It simply isn’t available.

Increasing your guitar playing ability in a manner where you gain results in this lifetime, in a shorter period of time, than in many, many years is important to many guitar students. Any tool or idea available can be helpful. But you don’t want helpful, you want progress. You don’t need a few more ideas, your need real skills and understanding. Guitar players: How often do you cut your fingernails?

I cut my fingernails every few days, but when I go to my guitar lesson (once a week) my guitar teacher always finds like 2 nails that are too long and tells me I should cut them… And it’s like 3 milimeters or something!

It depends on a person’s physiology and particular biorhythmic cycle. My hair and nails grow fairly quickly, but I don’t generally have to cut my nails every week to not be bothered when I play the guitar.

It is interesting that your teacher would really have to tell you about it. I generally know when my nails are too long because it first starts bugging me when I play guitar and then when I play piano. I would say that in all, I cut them on average every 1.5 to 2 weeks, but not on a schedule – just when they feel too long.

Depending on the guitar and style of music you play, you will notice it more. Classical guitar and Jazz and Bluegrass styles require the nails to be REALLY short, whereas simpler styles like Folk and Rock can allow for more leeway.

It is sort of ironic, but some styles like Flamenco and traditional Blues/New Orleans require long nails on the strumming or plucking hand (typically right). When I was in Spain, the gypsy street guitarists had CRAZY long nails!

I would say that if you have an emory board or something similar, give your nails a quick buff right before your lesson. That will keep your teacher off your back and make it so you don’t have to cut them as often.
