how do i fix my whammy bar to stay loose but not to fall out of my guitar?

i have an ibanez rg120 and this guitar is awesome. that my whammy bar is too low and if i tighten it higher it doesnt move from where i tighten it. i want the whammy bar to be loose but not to fall out of my guitar. anybody have any ideas???
i can tighten it with an allen wrench but i want loose so i can access it easily but if i keep it too loose it sinks down

I never did it with a NEW guitar, but i had an older one with the same problem and i used teflon tape that they use on pipes. You apply it to the threads and it makes them wider, allowing you to jam it in place. I dunno if this helps. Best of luck to ya.
