World Guitarist

In 1940 a sixteen year old Mexican girl named Consuelo Velazquez wrote a passionate song obviously stating her desire to be kissed. The song was called Besame Mucho, and set fire to the hearts, lips and loins of men and women around the world. It was recorded by Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra ans his singing by Kitty Kallen and became number one on Billboard for six weeks in 1944.
Another singer with big bands was a man named Sunny Skylar. He wrote the music and lyrics for a series of songs such as Love, and so to sleep again and Love Me With All Your Heart. There are other translations of the song, but Skylar appears to be the favorite. Here are the lyrics sung by Sunny Skylar:
Bà © same, bà © same lot
Every time I cling your kiss, I hear the divine music
BÃ © same Mucho
Hold me and say that love will always be mine
This joy is something new
My arms enfolding you
I never knew before that emotion
Whoever thought that would
Celebration near me
Whispering "It's I adore you "
Dearest one
If you leave me
Every little dream take wing, and my life would be through
BÃ © same Mucho
Love Me Forever and make all my dreams come true
A very frank expression of deep feelings of a teenager who had never been kissed when wrote the song. It's probably a good thing that stuck with Skylar "Besame Mucho phrase" instead of going by a translation into English as "kiss me lot "or" Besame Mucho ".
And here is the original letter of Consuelo Velazquez:
Bà © same, bà © same lot
As if this night the last time à º
BÃ © same Mucho
I'm afraid to lose you, lose you again
I too have you
Nearby Mirarme in your
Eyes, see you next to mÃ
Think that perhaps
Maà ± ana me and to be ©
Far, Far Away from you
BÃ © same, much the same ba ©
As if this night the last time à º
BÃ © same Mucho
I'm afraid to miss, miss Despuà © s
